So there was no damage to my home, and the flooding was so minimal it already dried up on its own yesterday. However, I do happen to be among those unfortunate masses without power thanks to Irene. We're now closing in on twenty-four hours since the electricity went bye-bye.
I'm at someone else's place as I post this. I'm charging my smart phone here, so I will continue to have some Internet access, but until power has returned to Casa de Cohen, communcations will be somewhat spotty. So if you email me and don't receive a prompt response, please remain patient.
RoF operations shouldn't be effected much by this outage. I got a ton of work done right before this happened, in anticipation of this very thing. I'll have a lot of work waiting for me when the power is back, but nothing I won't be able to manage, and as there are no immediate deadlines, we should be fine.
We still remain on track to close down to postal submissions on August 31st.
That's pretty much it around these parts. I'll be reading a lot (like even more than usual) until I have power back, as there isn't much else to do.
