The latest (and final batch of paper) submissions has been received and organized. In total, there are 212 submissions, ranging from 6/06/11-8/29/11. I'll start sifting through these Monday at the latest. Good luck to everyone this time around, and to those from the last batch moving on to the next round.
So with the final batch of paper slush received and organized, I'd imagine some of you are wondering where we are in terms of our transition to electronic submissions. Well, the next step is for me to get through this batch. As I've said before, when we open up to electronic subs, I'm expecting an initial surge of submissions. Given this, I have no desire to finish the paper slush and find 1000 electronic submissions waiting for me, with more coming in daily. So we won't be opening up to electronic submissions until I've wrapped up the paper subs. After I wrap up this paper batch, I'll pass along what's left to Shawna. After that's done and we see how many submissions Shawna still has to deal with on her end and where we are at that point in terms of overall inventory, we'll have a clearer picture about the next steps in the transition.
